New owner, new chef = take a pass on this restaurant. The service was slow and the food was unremarkable.

April 6,2010 - First visit Food was Fabulous. Server was also ( Lainy) I would recommend highly - Great ambiance. Super decor....We only went for lunch but will definitely be returning, hopefully for the evening meal...My daughter and I will be spreading the word.

I went back there to have some dinner to find out there are new managers and chef ,I must say what happened I was very disapointed not very good food at all boring menu lacking flavour and creativity, my sever was more intersted in wacthing the hockey game then serve our table please bring back the blustone that was, not the one that is very bad ,now I HAVE NO WERE TO EAT IN THIS TOWN.

BAD BAD BAD!!!! Ordered the special which was halibut.....I have never seen halibut sliced so thin...you could see through it! (if it was even halibut)
Also ordered the pineapple, chipotle glazed catfish which arrived plain with a couple of over baked cubes of pineapple and no glaze....when we asked the server for the chipotle glaze, she came back with a little bowl of Franks Red Hot!!!!! (and also argued that there wasnt supposed to be chipotle glaze on the
fish (she should read the menu) even the carrots were undercooked and swimming with butter. The rice had no hint of citrus or jasmine and looked like a big heaping pile of Uncle Ben's (guess they had to fill the plate somehow)

Blustone is a great restaurant for a properly cooked steak, with a nice selection of flavourful seafood pairings. We have only gone once, but we were impressed with the food and service, and will definitely be back again. We were served by Ryan, and found him to be funny, friendly, and accommodating.

This place is a joke ....trying to hard, the food is poor quality my Tuna was still frozen in the center I know it's supposed to be rare but c'mon. This place thinks it belongs in Vancouver but if it was it would fail ....only in the valley would anyone think that this is 'refined'. Try Bravos in Chilliwack if you want local higher end dining that has a fabulous wine list. This place is rather sad and I agree with the other comments regarding the service....it was very poor.

The food is wonderful, but the server really ruin the meal. She was completely friendly & nice to interact with but her serving skills were less than desireable. Everytime we'd try to order a new cocktail-- our server was at the bar flirting with whomever instead of worrying about our order. The service was slow & she lost out big time on drinks sales from our dinner party.

I've been here a handful of times and the service does not match the quality of the food. I will give it one more shot, if I receive poor service I'm afraid I'll have to write this place off.

The food is just wonderful! Its a refreshing menu that is not for everyone... you need to have a more refined pallet to enjoy this place. I always bring guests from out of town to dine here- this place has a great relaxed lounge feel to it. I would suggest sampling the Hazelnut Brie wontons- but the menu changed and they're all gone! THey were to die for

As a frequent visitor to The Blustone, I would simply like to say that it is great to see a restaurant in Abbotsford with quality food and great atmosphere. This town doesn't have enough places that offer ambiance and great food in a simple setting. This restaurant is probably more suited to downtown Vancouver, so let's be thankful they're serving up a little class and trendiness to our sleepy little city.

The entrees are great, but the desserts are disgusting. Save your money & get an ice cream from Dairy Queen.

The atmosphere at BluStone is just wonderful! The food is lovely. I've hosted a private party there for about 100 guests & Marcel and his staff were on the ball. However, the 2 times I've been there for dinner since the service was not as good. The servers were slow to take our order and we had to wait 15 minutes before one even took our drink order. I was not imporessed with the table service one bit. However, the food makes up for it. Despite the spotty service, I'd still give it a 4/5. This is the best restaurant in Abbotsford

NEVER AGAIN.. WHAT A COMPLETE JOKE..

Our waitress was a rude and the service was complete crap.

The food was below average and that is being generous and considering the price they charge it's a joke.

the only ggod thing is that the place looks nice..

i would say don't waiste your Time or your Money at this place. you can get the same meal for a better price at whitespot it's just across the street.

My staff and I went to blustone for the first time for our xmas party this year there was 20 of us and it was a great experiance.For the first time in 3 years we went to a place with a great atmosphere and the food was really good, nice variety on the menu.Staff really nice I never new this place was even in Abbotsford till that night.

I am really angry that they served instant mashed potatoes. When you pay 23.00 for an meal you expect real veggies. The service was good but the food was not.

My husband and I absolutely love the food at Blustone! A great variety and outstanding flavours make this restaurant a great dining experience... The catfish is just delicious!
The servers provide an excellent food knowledge and great service.

We have been going there for over a year now, on a regular basis and enjoy it every visit.

I was suprised when I saw what Abbotsford had to offer for casual dinning the service was exelletn very well informed staff.Also love the menu differant form the nomal and the quaility was very good.And I was suprised when they had a dj that played great music and not to loud or young perfect for me and my wife.

Excellent food, great servers, impressive menu and a great drink list - tons of martinis!

Very Good, excellent service. the food was very tasty and nicely presented, small portions which was fine for me, but if you are a big eater might not be enough. Will go back for sure to try some other dishes.

We were really impressed when they were able to accommodate our 25 person wedding dinner reception mid-October on short notice. The extra touches and care taken left us speechless.
We have yet to be disappointed.

The alligator appetizer was interesting and tasty.
The catfish entry, highest priced, did not meet my expectation. It tasted bland,
and the fish and sauce was not warm enough.
It tasted like it was previously prepared and just heated up.
The crew were nice and pleasant, but I had high hopes for the chef.

Nice Place. Great friendly and informed Servers, they know the menu. Great Wines. Great menu and it's creator(s) have done an excellent job with this, fresh ideas truly one of the best menus I've seen in Abbotsford. Food presentation was fantastic. Food quality did not meet with my expectations. Some things where great and some things where inedible. Appetizers alligator was excellent, Caesar Oyster shooters where excellent, Tuna Watermelon under seasoned and tuna was fishy, Ceasar Salad good, Steamed Mussels and bbq oysters where off. Entres Seared Tuna excellent, Steaks are undersized but tasted ok. Side dish where good but the asparagus was over cooked and the tough bottoms where not peeled or removed making half the dish unchewable. Desserts where great especially the toffee caramel thing it was probably the best dessert I have ever eaten. The restaurant was quiet so I do not understand why the cooks dropped the ball, the chef needs to make sure the ideas in the menu and the hard work of the wait staff are met with good food consistently.
