food is good, management is terrible. got a reservation? no seat for you then, and if you managed to get one but they don't have the right number of seats available, be prepared to be bumped by any grp that they can sit.

I've been a customer for years. The reason they have such small portions is because this is Japanese sushi and sashimi... Just like in Japan (my uncle lives there).

The bento boxes are good value. Their spicy sashimi is the best I've ever had.

Very good food but as for the Sushi itself, I find it way over priced for the amount you get. 7 pieces of salmon for $12.95???? Last I checked i wasnt eatting at the Hilton!

I go every Sunday for their all you can eat. The all you can eat is the fiarest price in town and it is by far the best ingredients of any of the Japanese all you can eat lunch specials in Abbotsford. Don't walk in and expect a table on Sunday afternoon as it is far too busy making reservations a must. The place was a little grubby before the renovations, but now it is top shelf clean, comfortable, trendy with great food.

We made a reservation for 115, the place had nowhere space to wait, when we finally got our table it was right at the front door cold,and dirty. We didn't once get anything I ordered as we had about 6 different waitresses. Neither did the table beside us. But what we did eat was just a bunch of rice-balls and mayonaise. The chicken teriaki was so raw and fatty. Did I mention the higher price for half the menu of the one in metrotown/richmond. They have pictures of the food on the menu but its not available for all you can eat. We didn't get any napkins,tea,or tempura sauce. DONT WASTE TIME/MONEY.You can make your own riceballs at home.

No wonder my bf hates sushi, THAT was his first time..

The All you can eat is okay but when ordering from the menu I find that the sushi is not good value, undersized and overpriced. This was the first sushi place in Abbotsford. The hot food is pretty good.

Food is always good and tasty. While there are other Japanese restaurants in Abbotsford with better quality ingredients and a cheaper price, Sui Sha Ya has a number of specialty items not liable to be found other places that are second to none.
